National ICF Builder Award 2020 Light Commercial 1st Place – The entire exterior wall envelope for this building was constructed with Nudura insulated concrete forms. The reinforced concrete walls easily satisfied all shear wall requirements as well as the rigorous structural standards required by the building’s Emergency Operations Center designation. The 14′ wide apparatus bay doors required significant concrete and rebar lintels which were easily accomplished within the ICF framework. Two interior demising walls provided simple roof bearing lines as well as sound and temperature insulation between different space usages. The project consisted of 660 linear feet of ICF wall with 24 corners, four T-walls, and 43 openings.
